Now Hiring - Pharmaceutical Technical Development Senior/Principal Scientist QC in San Francisco, CA

The Position

This position is part of the Pharma Individualized Medicines Team responsible for the process development, manufacture and supply of personalized immunotherapies in collaboration with our global partners.

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual to develop, implement and oversee various analytical methods in support of engineered cell therapy development and quality control (QC). The successful candidate will support/lead development, implementation, and oversight of various QC methods for release and in-process testing including safety-related tests as well as characterization assays in partnership with others within the Pharma Technical Individualized Cell Therapy and Development (PTCC) organization as well as those outside of PTCC to enable cell therapy clinical development and commercialization. You will play an important role in our mission to become an industry leader in the cell therapy space with a robust and sustaining pipeline.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading/supporting various analytical QC methods including safety-related tests within PTCC

• Act as a technical lead on Technical Development team for cell therapy CM&C development

• Engaging and partnering with others to expedite analytical development and QC for cell therapy development

Minimum Requirements for Technical Development Senior Scientist QC:

• Master’s degree in molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry/chemistry or other related disciplines with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

• The ideal candidate will possess expertise and skills in molecular biology/microbiology/biochemistry with extensive hands-on experience and working knowledge in method development and instrumentation

• Previous industry experience in cell and gene therapy is preferred

• Skilled in communication and presentation, and able to convey data clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Strong work ethic, ability to work well with others, demonstrated trouble-shooting capabilities, and robust problem-solving skills

The expected salary range for the Technical Development Senior Scientist QC position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $95,400 - $177,200.

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.

• Strong work ethic, ability to work well with others, demonstrated trouble-shooting capabilities, and robust problem-solving skills

The expected salary range for the Technical Development Principal Scientist QC position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $113,300 - $210,300.

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
